At Les Cabanes des Grands Lacs, we are committed to making our site a vector of raising awareness about the territory, biodiversity and its resources. We work hand in hand with the department and the region to highlight the local tourism and contribute to the attractiveness of our territory.
Located in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, in the East of France, Haute-Saône (70) is full of wonders to discover. Between castles, museums, hikes, exceptional landscapes, historic sites, not to mention its delicious gastronomy, this department has many surprises in store for you!

Biking & Walks
After a good night in the air or on the waves, there's nothing like bikes for enjoy nature to the fullest. 4 kilometers of walks around the lakes are available to you, as well as the discovery of the surrounding villages...
Did you know that? We are referenced as “Accueil Vélo” accommodation ! We offer quality services to cyclists along the routes France Vélo Tourisme :

We also offer free bikes for everyone, subject to availability. (helmets recommended outside the domain).
Beach & Pool
In high season, Lake Bonnal is a supervised and secure bathing area. To relax, the greenery allows you to relax and enjoy the golden rays...
The outdoor pool of the campsite next door is also accessible for cabaneurs (July/August)! Located on the other side of the river, you can easily launch yourself on its 5 slides. Information prior to welcoming Les Cabanes.
- Admission fee (swimming on the site): from €4 for outside visitors or cabanas arriving before 2 p.m.
Dogs are not allowed. Minors are under the responsibility of their parents.

- Meet our mini-donkeys: At the reception of Cabanes des Grands Lacs, you'll have the pleasure of meeting our companions! They form a family of 4 with Cabana the mother, Caruso the father, and Gaspacho and Fuego, the little ones.
- Sensory trail (new in 2026 ) : Embark on a journey that awakens all your senses. Underfoot, various materials invite you to experience nature in a different way. Along the walk, fruit bushes (raspberries, redcurrants...) offer some delicious notes, while flowers release their delicate fragrances. A gentle and immersive stroll to fully reconnect with nature. 🌿

The castles
The Castle of Villersexel : Dating from 1880, it was rebuilt away from the ruins of the previous one, destroyed by the flames during the famous Battle of Villersexel. Discover this vast Louis XIII style building, made of bricks and stone, with the original interior.

The castle of Oricourt : Built in the middle of the 12th century, it is a castle with double walls. You will discover: the high court, the main tower, the ancient dungeon, or even the dovecote.

The Castle of Ray-Sur-Saône: A site classified as a “Historic Monument”. It is registered as a heritage of the Department of Haute-Saône. Its remarkable architecture and its 6 ha park allow for a real moment of wonder!

Vesoul, a hidden sweet life
Discover a town in Haute-Saône that reveals an astonishing heritage... Vesoul has natural, architectural and cultural treasures in a certain discretion. Stroll through the old center and admire the facades of the mansions!
The market takes place on Thursdays and Saturdays around the Nouvelles Halles (covered market) and the Pierre-Rénet and République squares. To organize your walk, choose to make a detour to the Saint-Georges Church, the courthouse (in blond and blue stone, typical of Franche-Comté) and by the English Garden, labeled Remarkable Garden.

Besancon
Nestled in the heart of a meander of the Doubs, Besancon is a city of art and history where heritage interacts with nature.
Dominated by its majestic Citadelle Vauban, classified by UNESCO, it reveals a rich military and architectural past. Strolling through its historic center means admiring Chailluz stone facades, elegant mansions and charming streets. All year round, The Franche-Comtoise region offers fabulous panoramas. For walkers and experienced walkers, the 7 Rivières Tourist Office offers several circuits to explore Hither. - Canoe and kayak : The Villersexel PAN offers you activities 'Canoe Descent (tandem) or Kayak (single-seater) '. A reservation the day before is required! - Acro'cimes Parc Thiénans : Does your night in a cabin give you a taste of adventure and do you want to push the experience even further? Head over to the 9 tree-climbing courses offered by Accro'cimes in the heart of the Montbozon forest! Information - Open from May to September, closed on Mondays - 10 minutes away by car.
- Bicycle rails : Over 9 km (round trip, about 1.5 hours), pedal with friends or family on an old railway line! The course allows you to pedal at your own pace, in total safety. Information and prices — to 30 min by car.

- A hot air balloon ride : During your balloon trip, you'll experience 3 unforgettable hours, from the welcome at our premises or the launch site, until your return aboard our vehicles. Passengers can observe the preparation phase, the inflation of the balloon, and ask any questions to the pilot and their team. Flights are organized daily, weather permitting. - The Velleminfroy Spring : At this charming site, the Water Museum invites you to learn more about the history of the Velleminfroy spring. You can appreciate the world of thermalism in the early 20th century through numerous period objects and photos. Information and rates - 70240 Velleminfroy – 30 minutes by car.
- Fishing : It is not possible to fish in the domain's lakes. Our operations help maintain this natural site. You can fish in the currents of the Ognon river nearby, where you'll find predatory fish: pike, zander, perch... and white fish: gudgeon, carp, trout... A fishing license is mandatory to fish in the river. Licenses are available in Rougemont at the 'l’Evolutif' tobacco shop (5 minutes by car). We recommend catch-and-release fishing.
